The Glasgow Coffee Festival returned the weekend of 19th May at the beautiful venue that is The Briggait, where the sun shone through the glass room all weekend! La Marzocco were proud sponsors for another year and brought the Leva to Scotland for the first time!

This year’s festival had a no disposable cup policy with event organisers asking attendees to bring their own reusable cup to combat the 30,000 tonnes of coffee cup waste created each year in the UK. Luckily event sponsors KeepCup were also on hand to lend festival-goers reusable cups. Overall 18,530 cups were saved from landfill and over 100kg of coffee grounds were collected and diverted from landfill.

As part of the Leva Roadshow we took the latest piece of La Marzocco innovation the Leva X to Glasgow. As well as hosting Leva demonstrations throughout the weekend we also held a #levaroadshow Instagram giveaway, asking people for their best pose behind the Leva to be entered into a draw to win a limited edition La Marzocco Glasgow cap.

Event organisers Dear Green Coffee Roasters brought good vibes working on the Strada AV getting through their constant queue of people waiting for a delicious coffee locally roasted. La Marzocco also featured amongst other partners across the festival including; Artisan Roast, Gatehouse Coffee, Cast Iron Roasters, Spit Fire Espresso, KAF Coffee, Common Coffee, Union Blew Lab, Machina & Gordon St Coffee.

The festival also saw the semi-final and final of the UK Brewers Cup. A big congratulations to all those who competed and to Lisa-Laura Verhoest from Climpson and sons who came first.

The Saturday night party saw the La Marzocco Afterparty in full swing in the Briggait back hall once the festival had closed for the day. So many of your joined us for pizza, beers, cocktails and music and congratulations to Sammie Mcpherson for winning the throwdown!

A huge thank you to all those who visited over the weekend, all exhibitors and organisers for putting on another truly great event!
