La Marzocco were proud to be back in Glasgow to support the third year of the Glasgow Coffee Festival.

The event has previously taken place in the cold winter months but this time, being hosted over the weekend of the 6th and 7th of May, the event was much sunnier affair. Held in the glorious Briggait, The Glasgow Coffee Festival hosted various coffee based companies and allowed us to provide them some mighty Linea Mini’s for their stands. From official milk provider Mossgiel Farm to the guest cafe stand, which housed over 12 different local cafes, the Linea Love was strong.

Event organisers, and Glasgow coffee heroes, Dear Green Coffee Roasters worked off of La Marzocco’s latest innovation, the Strada AV ABR and the queue at their stand was non-stop; an ideal pace for the capability of the Strada.

As well as being a festival, the event also saw hosted the finals of the UK Brewers Cup and the Glasgow heat of the UK Barista Championship. A big congrats to all the competitors but especially to Dave Cullen from Clifton Coffee Roasters for winning the UK Brewers Cup and also to Anson Goodge from Ozone Coffee Roasters who placed in the top 3 of the Barista Championship.

The Saturday evening also saw us and IKAWA Coffee hosting the Glasgow round of La Marzocco Local. We held this a top secret location which we still can’t unveil but we will say we had a fantastic night and as always, it was great to connect with the local speciality coffee scene.

A big thank you to all the visitors, to all the exhibitors who worked from and with La Marzocco and to the organisers for putting on a great event.
