Over the weekend of October 22nd, Allpress UK opened the doors of their roastery in Dalston, London to the general public. Working with La Marzocco, the team invited their regulars, and some new faces, into the roastery so they could get hands on with the Linea Mini.
The concept was simple: make your own coffee and it’s yours for free. This was a big success and many guests finally got to see what goes into making their favourite drink. They were shown the basics of grinding and how grind size is integral to a well extracted espresso as well as the perfect tamp and extraction time. A crowd-favourite was showing the budding home baristas how to steam milk and how to pour latte art.
Busy cafes can sometimes prevent engagement with customers but this set up permitted customers to ask more in depth questions and to see how, with the power of the Linea Mini, they can take a part of the cafe back into their own homes.
Both designjunction and MYO have proven how consumers are becoming more and more curious into how to prepare espresso. We will continue to feed into this interest by bringing a hands-on Linea Mini area to Out of the Box this December at the Linea Mini European True Artisan Cafe sponsored by Espresso Solutions.
Registration for Out of the Box is open now.
